Swiss Disaster

Posted on June 12, 2008

Up one-nil after the first half, Switzerland dropped their game 2-1 to Turkey through the second.
The dreams of a home-team champion have been crushed.

I skated the WCW’s last night, and went okay in the 200 @ 17.2 (per the laser/beam).  I suppose it is good for me pushing and dragging the wind around solo, with no one in front or behind (much slower condition).  I am still a little shakey through the corners at top speed, but am starting to smooth out the straights.  I certainly feel less anxious about speed, I just have to keep smoothing things out the whole way through. [Balance the effort and form.] I also think it’s time to start dropping down a little through at least the second turn.  Trouble is, can I still skate through the corner(s?)…  time will tell.

I think I am going to go for a little skate down by the lake before school.  I’ll stop by the boy’s place to see who’s up for a roll.  Also need a wheel change.

Howard Stern rules.
