Party and Countdown…

Hi All!

First off, I have to apologize to those that may actually follow this site even a little bit.  There was a problem with the editor, and for over a month i wasn’t able to do ANYTHING with this webpage at all, and well, getting around to fixing the problem, and writing on this site unfortunately migrated towards the bottom of my “to do” list.  I had to put school and studies first, as well as training and all other sorts of stuff that keep people busy.  So yes, I’m back.  I am in the middle of exams now, and I handed in a paper that was for a short while atop the hierarchal list and prevented me from doing anything meaningful on here.  With that out of the way, and THE BEST HOUSE PARTY IN CANADIAN SKATING HISTORY behind me, I have enough time to actually write a post here, uninhibited by impending obligations.  I still have three exams left to go, but they are all over a week away, so… Hi!     >Interestingly, I slept better last night than I can remember sleeping for some time.  Hey Sarah, I told you I’d sleep in!

Second, I can’t believe the flack I got for the last two posts I put up.  Andrew, I loved the comment on here,  and those that sent me emails about it, well, thanks for the motivation to post!  I suppose every now and then we all need a swift kick in the ass. I do hope to make up for it once I leave for Europe.  That is in two weeks today, by the way.  I leave April 25, at 6:30pm.  The funny thing is, I have a three hour exam earlier that day that starts at 2pm.  Do the math…  I will be in a rush.  :)  I figure, I’ll just write the exam really fast, and make my time up that way.  Don’t worry though, I’m finding the process of packing far more stressful.  As for my return, I will be back in early October to win A2A.  I heard Peter say that he wanted to win it this year too.  Well Peter, for that you will a) First learn how to sprint, and b) push me into a ditch close to the end of the race.  WHAHAHA!!!  Seriously though, I will race like a complete asshole if I have to.  Do you all remember Hincapie’s first stage win in the 2005 tour?  Well, he COULD have drafted a little more.  ;)  ok ok ok …  I’m kidding… well, half.  Poor Oscar Pererio… he completely deserved that stage win…  

Back to real stuff:
The Party!!!  What a great time!!  Thanks to everyone that came, really. that meant alot to me, I am really happy the party was such a great success.  To the boys who came from out-of-town, big-ups.  To my skating friends, thank you sincerely for your on-going support.  To my school friends, thanks for coming, ha!  It really was a cool vibe.  I had a lot of fun, I hope everyone else did too. 

I should mention there were >50 people here throughout the night ( I should have had a guest book) and I think it was just the right amount.  There was never a lull in the festivities, the hockey game was a great one, the bottle game had a cheering section, the drinks were flowing, people were happy, and the music was rockin’!!!  haha!  Thanks for everyone who put up with my voice nearly the whole night, I really could have used some help there.  Put I thought as far as drunken live music at a house party goes, it was above average.  :P  Besides, you know the party was a good one when you put your digital camera down and when you pick it back up there are a dozen or so pictures of the hot girl’s boobs.  Should I write that?  I already did.  Well, that happened.  There are still quite a few drinks here, so I think I might just have to have Petey over a few times to ‘get rid of them quickly’… I wouldn’t want them to go to waste…  It was also really cool to have a few surprise guests, come out-of-the-woodworks to attend.  That was way-cool.

I’ve got a busy day, I have to start getting my ass packed.  sorry for the quick depart,

PS: Jessica! Hey!  Of course I remember you!  I emailed you a long while back…  how are you?  Are you still driving that cool car with the bottle on the roof?  Are you writing exams too?  How did you find this silly site?  Best of luck, -A.
