Apology?
Posted on August 21, 2007
Hey all, I just wanted to post a quick note on here to apologize (some in advance) for my poorer maintenance of my website of late. My computer is really, really dead, and getting to an internet cafe is an adjustment in lifestyle to itself. So, I’m sorry. I will still post when i can, and I hope to write some more substantial articles, and get the ones I had already written off of my old hard drive.
On another note, the 111km was awesome! The last 30km was really tough, and the last 20km was uphill. It is really a fantastic race, and my hat goes off to the organizers. 111km of closed swiss mountain roads was nothing short of amazing. The boys and I are still pulling story after story out of the 3 hour 15 minute race. I can’t wait to do it again next year. Oh, and I am really happy with the result, though I know I could have done better. That is a story in itself yet again. Thanks for all the kind words and emails. :)
Shout out to those at Worlds!!!
To DJ in London!!
To the Nades skatin’ it up back home!!
To my US comrades in full swing in their marathon season!!
To Robi, congrats at St. Paul bro!
To Olivier, melt that ice thug!!

To friends and fam, peace and love! …and see you soon.
Your boy,
Double A.

Results…
Posted on August 19, 2007
In a tough race that started on wet pavement, Massi Presti won the 111km, followed by last year’s 2nd place Ben Alchin, a French skater (Deniaud Richard), then myself! Not bad, huh?? Here are the results: http://services.datasport.com/2007/inline/111/RANG010.HTM
I also realized that I never posted the results for Beil…

I lost the report I had written for the race via my computer crash. I am half dead from the race today, so I will have to end this post here.
Cheers big ears.

Weekend = Insane
Posted on August 13, 2007
What a weekend!
As I mentioned, we had quite the weekend planned, and I can tell you this: It went off!
We even managed to squeeze in a party/visit to Fantastical on Friday night as well…
I will wait to get photos and videos from D.JN. and Ben Alchin before I post about it in detail. For now, I will just mention that after seeing the course for the 111km race this Sunday, it will be hell. It is going to be a tough race, but I am looking forward to suffering through it. The course really gets tough with about 20km to go, and the entire course is technical with an abundance of downhills into right corners. There just seems to be a bunch of them. It is a fast course, 1 loop, starting and finishing in St. Gallen, full of hills, most of them down in the first half, and most up in the second. It should be interesting to see how big the peleton is for this race, and how it stays together etc. We stopped by the Sponsor factory for supplies, and I will be eating some good stuff throughout the race.
My computer is still down, and I am typing this at an internet cafe. I am still working on the report for Beil, but I have a feeling it will be a bit shorter than my others. For me it was a good race, just a bad last lap. I finished 28th, and in the field sprint, but I know I could have done alot better. I will explain via my report.
I also wanted to say hi to all my friends back home who continue to read this, and support me. Many thanks. I seem to have just as many critics, so your encouragement and kind words is really important to me. Also, well wishes, and luck to the Canadian World team who is in Cali, Columbia for the World Championships. I do wish I was there with you all. Also to all my other friends who are there now representing other countries. Good luck to you all, and I hope these championships live up to all they`ve been hyped up to be.
Oh, and a Hello to my mom. Why don`t you call me? I think Dean should get his butt out here for a few weeks. To Cheryl, Erin, Mom, E.W., Eric Mass, and anyone else reading with the gull to do it, call his ass and tell him I`ve said it on here. Maybe the ball is rolling?

Not Dead.
Posted on August 9, 2007
As I continue to not be dead, I will work on a report for Biel. In the meantime, this weekend looks like it will be busy and fun. Its a big party weekend here near me.
In Zurich there will be a million and a half people partying in the “Street Parade“. We’ll be there on saturday morning. That night we will be at “Fantastical“. 150,000 people in Kreuzlingen. …awesome.
On Sunday we are planning a big ride of the Inline 111km race starting in St. Gallen. Then, in the afternoon we are having a beach party/barbeque/bonfire.
I’ll take pictures.

Crash…
Posted on August 8, 2007
Speaking of crashes, I haven’t crashed in the longest time.
…But my computer did. And hard.
I lost just about everything, aside from the data I had thankfully backed up on an external drive.
Anyway, I have quite a bit of catching up to do, a computer to fix, and some work to do here on aaronarndt.ca
On a lighter note, skating is going well. I am racing the inline 111km next weekend.
I am not dead.
